Cannabis jobs in Canada: who's hiring (February 2018 edition)

After a December lull, Canadian weed job listings are back on the rise in the new year

Another landmark month for the cannabis industry means an influx of new cannabis jobs for Canadians. January saw a number of regulatory developments, consistent industry growth, and some of the most ambitious corporate cannabis ventures to date, including Canadian licensed producer Aurora's dramatic $1.1 billion acquisition of CanniMed.

In the past month, 268 new listings for cannabis jobs have been posted to national job boards — an average of 67 new listings per week, up by roughly 20 per cent from December’s 55-per-week average. [And today, we added a long list of opportunities at Lift!]

Entry-level labourers are always needed at various stages of production.

In Ontario, Canopy Growth Corp is hiring a processing assistant at their facility in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., while Peace Naturals has openings at their Stayner, Ont. facility for a plant-care labourer, a harvest labourer, and a junior extraction technician.
