With 10,000 attendees, over 130 exhibitors and 2 days of engaging conversation, the inaugural Lift Cannabis Expo was a resounding success. Individuals from across North and South America, Asia and Europe - patients, entrepreneurs, medical professionals and the curious - converged on the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from May 28-29 to help shape Canada’s emerging cannabis industry.
Families, veterans, patients and consumers alike lined up for well over an hour before doors opened. Whether learning about solventless extracts at our live demonstration area, networking in the industry, or attending the “Veterans, PTSD and Cannabis” panel, each and everyone left knowing more about cannabis than before, as did the world. We trended on Instagram with over 1,000 posts for #liftexpo, took over Snapchat with our very own filter, and hosted a range of after parties and events throughout the weekend.
In the wake of Project Claudia, we are also proud to have hosted Licensed Producers, dispensaries, patient groups, passionate advocates and everyone in between. More than just a tradeshow, the Lift Expo acted as forum to discuss, debate and celebrate our industry. From our 30+ speakers to coverage on CBC, the Financial Post and the Toronto Star, to the Women Grow networking event, we put patients first by giving a voice to every corner of the industry. While tumultuous at times, we continue to have the opportunity to shape the future of Canada’s cannabis industry by coming together as one.
Lastly, we’d like to thank everyone in attendance as we turn our mind to the Vancouver Expo this September — we wouldn’t be here today without you, and neither would the cannabis industry. We at Lift look forward to growing with you and hosting you for years to come.
